Camp sites and portages at Four Mile are closed
The Fire Team safely completed ignition of the Four Mile prescribed burn unit yesterday. All campsites and portages closed in conjunction with this burn remain closed while Fire Crews assess and monitor the burn unit. Public Safety Crews remain in place. Updates will be provided as soon as closure orders are rescinded.

Long-term weather conditions are expected to result in further drying and slim chances of rain. Fire personnel are planning to focus of maintaining the recent prescribed burns and do not have any immediate plans to initiate new burns.

Fire remains active on the Boot Lake Prescribed Burn, and 8-10 fire personnel are assigned to that burn unit. Although the Snowbank Hiking Trail remains open, we caution against hiking the trail in a clockwise direction, particularly around the north end of Snowbank and Grub Lake. Camping on the Grub Lake campsite is not advised. People still wishing to hike the trail should travel on the south and east portions of the trail away from the Boot Lake burn area.
