It has been crazy good this past week!  We were still predominantly using plugs but fishing with bait was sporadically producing great Walleye.  We are expecting to transition more to bait fishing this week as the temps are getting cooler and there are more fish outside the Lighthouse Gap.

It looks like we might be getting some fall like weather this week.  Highs are predicted to be in the 50’s and 60’s.  We are still waiting on the shiners there are a ton of them just outside the gap only some have come in the river.  The water temp is not being conducive to keeping them alive as bait at this point.

Water temp 65.3 in the river right now.  That is about 5 cooler than last week.  It is strange having the warmest water temps of the season come in September.

The hunt club is going full swing.  The dogs like this cooler weather.  If you are looking to get away and do some fishing fall is a great time on Lake of the Woods.  You can mix in some golf or hunting with a great day on the water.
