7outof10 and I went to rocky reef this sunday to try our luck at the walleye bite. Well I think Mike forgot to pack his "Luck" and we didn't get any fish on Mille Lacs! :cry: The rockman said there has been several guys at his resort since thursday and saturday night is the first time they tried going out. They had a very windy and wild ride from the sound of it. We only tried for a few hours on sunday morning then "we" smoked a prop pretty bad at the landing due to the waves  :bonk: After a feast at the casino and some games the wind died and the skies got clear for a few hours so we tried Rocky Reef again and didn't get a bite (fished from 8 ish to 1:30 am)

Monday , We had plans to hit Little White Fish and what a great plan it was! We met up with the resort owner guy (forgot his name  :oops1:)
around 8:30 am and after reading our handy map we were off into the great unknown  ;D . It only took about 8 minutes to start marking just giant schools of bait and huge archs on the lowrance! We tried a few different patters and techniques to no avail. Finally I started pitching a 1/8th ounce jig tipped with a fat head and two seconds later, wham we were on crappies! We ended up keeping 2 limits of them and I caught two bass and two small sunnies(we caught well over 50 crappies). Out of all the different schools of fish there was one that was red hot and only one other that was giving up a few fish. Mike ended up catching his lifes best crappie. I also got something that was the biggest in my life, it was a screen! We definitly plan on going up next year ! I'm thinking Bass opener weekend?  :scratch:

(Mike will have to post pics asap!)

7x10,nice fish man,neat little lake huh?did ya try the hamburgers? Don't get to excited about mounting those fish,they'll shrink some and you'll be bummed,take a trip later this winter to URL,you won't catch many but you can still get a couple of true 14"ers plus all the walleyes you want.

FYI

Just compare 3-4 more hours of driving to 1 or 2 more inch fish.  :scratch: I think Id rather not drive so far. Also there is better than 12 inch crappies in that lake too :fishing2:

It would be a max of 2 trucks and one small small 4wheeler trialer. I have a decent snow thrower and a few shovels and if it works out we should have no problem moving some snow for ya ! :rocker;
