Bright hair jigs with a fathead and stinger hook seems to be the main producer 10-15 fow heard of an 11 pounder and a few around 10 that have been caught. I am headed back out on Wed. and saturday.

Report from pool 4! Lots of small Sauger biggest was 15" and one small Walleye. One Sheephead, one catfish, two white bass. Did catch one big fish. A Buffalo that was about 30 lbs. All fish were caught in 12-18' of water.

Picked up some decent saugers and a 17"eye there yesterday morning. Lots of small saugs too though. Playin' bumper boats the whole time too  Jigs ,hair jigs, and flashers were all working . I 'm pretty shure I saw just about every color they make being used!

Dumb question but is pool 4 RedWing? Ford Dam? Other?
Why do those Corp of Engineers hosers have to make things so complicated?

yes it is red wind. Everetts resort is the closest launch to the pool 4 dam

Nice report, sounds like the fall bite is getting in the full swing.

I got back from the river a few hours ago. Started early on the water a 6:30 about and hour or more before one boat came. Hit them early shallow but only one keeper and a big white bass. Moved to another spot rigged up with hairjigs and started getting some keepers and bigger fish also used blade baits too. In all caught more fish than I could count kept 5 sauger/walleye for the fry pan, and one white bass. Fun but the weather could have been better.

I haven't been out in a while to do some health issues. I good friend of mine has been fishing pool four as well as the croix. Nice eyes are coming with a jig and a minnow (Fathead) or plastics on a jig. He's been getting limits most times out of 16" + fish. Lots of small ones mixed in as well.

Good fishing.
