Anyone familiar with this type of boat?  Looking to replace a canoe with something that is lightweight, very portable, and can be placed on top of a car.

Pros and cons of a rig like this?  Stability?  Ease of use?
Take a kid hunting and fishing... It'll be the best thing for generations to come.

I used one this year and it was prety good. Good and stable because its so low ot the water and wide and plenty of room for one person and their gun blind bag and 2 mojos. Float the decoys behind you and you will be set. Only problem is when you get into thick vegitation the decoys want to hang up behind you and the paddle somtimes isnt enough so crrying a colapsable pushpoll would be a good idea. I loaded and unloaded it into the back of a pickup by myself and when you have to walk into a field it works good to stack the decoys on a use as a sled. We got 2 doz. floaters 6 FB honkers 6 fb malroys 3 guns 3 blindbags and 2 mojos in it and 2 people pulled with teh paddle tied to the front of the boat and the 3rd balanced the decoys on the boat. If you have any more questions let me know and i will try to answer them but i only used it 2 times this year so far to get through the ice and snow. When we were going through the ice we put one person in the boat and 2 of us pushed him through the ice to break it up and it worked great. If you have ever tryed to break open a hunting area wearing jsut waders you will definitly appreciate having a boat to use as an icebreaker!
