2009 ice fishing

Hey guys i was wondering if you guys know when the ice is gonna freeze over?
I remeber last year we had about 2 -3 inches over thanksgiving, but this year it seems a little to warm for that to happen...

I definately would not count on ice by thanksgiving. Far to warm for that.

The weather guy on channel 5 said that we are not going to get ice this year.... bummer.

Seen Ice on small lakes up north.....  Ice on a few lakes (the edges) in the mornings in the cities.... wont be long ..... considering how warm its been that aint bad.... we'll be on that hard stuff sooner than ya think.... one big drop in temps and we'll be there... I gotta get some grouse hunting in yet though... not ready, havent even glanced at my ice gear yet!

I saw a holding pond with a little bit of slush on the edges in St. Cloud today - I couldn't believe my eyes

Finally the temperature is droping and i saw some ice on some ponds this morning!!! Now with duck hunting over i need that ice to freeze or im going to go crazy
