on shotgun opener I was hunting a freinds farm In elkriver were iam the only one alloweed to hunt.  at 8am about 6 does were being chased by my buck at full speed at about a 100 yrds from myself.  when out of no were 9 shot gun blasts 2 trespasers unloaded there shotguns at him and missed. the does keep runing east and he did a u turn right to my ambush saddle were I got a 27 yrd shot. it was the best day ever I was pumped for 3 days.

Thats great. I like to here of others out with bows during hun season. I had a similar thing happen to me. It was actually last Saturday am. The sun was coming up and I could hear a buck grunting up a storm in the distance.  After about 15 minutes I then heard two shots and saw a nice buck come my way and stop in my shooting lane but still 50 yds out. Then the gun fire continued and I saw he was wounded. He did get into the woods and then about 3o minutes later the gunner showed up to look for him. Here is the problem. The guy was shooting in an area that you are not allowed to use a gun for deer hunting AND the deer he was shooting at was not on his property. And to top is off he wounded a 110 inch deer that will probably die now and not be around to be a 130+ inch deer next year.

People....

Glad your story turned out to your advantage.

We didn't get it on video. The shooting was so close it spooked us! My camera guy was actually taking cover! I was looking at the house behind us because I thought the shots were coming from there which would on put us almost in the line of fire. It was a mess! It only lasted about 30 seconds of that. So... unfortunately, we did not get it on video. BUT.. I did call TIP, actually apoke directly with a CO and he wouldn't come out. Said I would have to get in touch with the local cop as its a city ordinance. But the time I got in touch with the cops the smoke had cleared.

NO THEY WERE IN THERE STAND WHEN i LEFT. i WISH i COULD HAVE CONFRUNTED THEM THAT IS THE DEAL i HAVE WITH THE FARMER iF i SEE ANYONE BUT HIM ON THE PROPERTY CHASE THEM OFF. IF THEY WERE AT THERE TRUCK i WOULD HAVE WENT OVER THERE BUT SOMETHING FREAKS ME OUT ABOUT APROCHING TWO MEN WITH GUNS THAT ARE AT A HIGHER ELAVATION THEN MYSELF. i WOULD HAVE CONTACTED THE AUTHORATIES BUT i WAS IN A BIT OF A JAM. MY WIFE HAD TO BE A WORK AT 11:30 AND i STILL HAD TO GUT MY FIRST DEER. AND i DID NOT EVEN GET OUT OF MY STAND TO LOOK FOR HIM FOR ABOUT AN HOUR. I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SHURE HE WAS DEAD. BOY THAT WAS A LONG HOUR.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.  If
you can't eat it or hump it.

Piss on it and walk away
