all is well, but grandma is making him do all the things the doctors told him to quit even if he doesnt like it, less salt foods, quit smoking, daily pills etc, so we all came threw that alright.

on a side not, i have to stop and get some new choke tubes, i had to throw away my last modified and when i sold my other shotgun i forgot my last improved choke was in it, and with what you guys were describing i need more than my skeet choke, so im going to pick up some from cabelas.

Hope your grandfather feels better.  Nothing more important than family......

I can shoot the 19th and the earlier, the better.  I won't have to attend a wedding so 10ish would be perfect.

I guess I espected enough for a round of clays or something... the shoot was 65$.. I mean 10 bucks is 10 bucks.. but this was a state shoot usually theres a bit more in the prize ring.

I'm out on the 19th the kid has a college thing that I'm gonna have to attend with her... maybe sunday I can get out

Cody... Im still in for Saturday, but havent talked to Pat yet.... The way that "$10" is set up... thats a return on the shooters class option.... anotherwords, you pay your $65 to shoot the tourney, Then there is lewis class option and class option... for class option, you put in $10, and if you win you get all, or a cut of all that classes $$ depending on how many there are in your class and how many put in for that option...so the more that put in for it, the more $$ you can win.... Lewis class is more of a random drawing, I believe they break down the drawing so every 5 or 10 shooters get a cut.... Tourneys will also sometimes just have cash prizes, but only the big tourneys do that unless a sponser donates those prizes.... Beeker, I take it that was class option correct?

that wasn't lewis or class option.. that was 1st place for c over all ... since the 1st place shooter was a JR.. he couldn't win the prize. it's better then nothing

Beeker-

I could have used your expertise today....  Red course is a scorcher.  Shot 35/50 on the odd stations and 21/50 on the even side.  I went 0/18 on three different even stations.  Lots of crossing shots and some have a bit of speed.

A few stations had all three of us dumbfounded.

dont think i layed a goose egg on any of them, but some had me sratching my head  i layed down some of my easy shots that i normally whack every time, like the rising going away shot :doah: i miss that one then i whack the blazing crossing shots like they were nothing   normally the other way around

one of those old shooters who's been around, told me to concentrate on breaking the easy ones before you worry about the hard ones.

I'm thinking this weekend or maybe friday (taking a day off to get some sanity back) I'll head out and see what I can offer to the team

Yeah Beeker.... thats good advise.... It happens all the time to shooters.  You get so wrapped up looking at targets, we focus so much on the tougher looking target of a pair or whatever, and you end up taking the easier ones for granted! :banghead:  I would have had a pretty good outing there on Saturday, except for really two stations... one on each round where I shot a 1 of 6.... and none were anything I cant hit on a given day... :doah:  Would have been in the low 40's on both rounds if I got just half of the targets on those two stations... (well, that and a rare meltdown on a rabbit station where I screwed up a rabbit target so bad, I went into the fetal position and nearly forgot there was a follow-up flyer comming behind it!  Cody and Red can vouch for me on that one :whistling: :rotflmao:)  Pat is probably shooting this weekend, And I am thinking Im gonna re-shoot and see if I can muster up a little bit of concentration/focus a second time around... so let me know when you're going to go....

I did get out today.. didn't realize there was a sctp tourney today.. but they let me shoot.. I did 41 on the even and 44 on the odd..
they really set it up nice for the lefty most of those targets were left to right with the follower coming right under the break point.  the fox and the dog was a new one for me.. kinda like a poison bird
