Rumor has it that a couple guys from this site got together for some fishing on the pond this week. It has been a couple days and no report....?

Was it that bad?

Well, considering the waves were 4 feet high and we couldn't get out on the main part of the lake, the report isn't too good.  Plus, Spinach was a little under the weather and the waves almost made him yack, we had to head to calmer water.  If we were fishing for perch, we would have done great, but we pretty much stuck to walleyes, with no results.  I think I may be going up on the 7th of Oct. for the full moon.....should be a great evening/night of fishing........you in mayfly???

Leech angler, bass Assassin and I headed up yesterday. Both Leech and I had early morning obligations with getting our kids to school, so we missed the morning calm weather.

We got to the launch in Isle at 11:30 am and headed straigt out to the Graveyard, we passed about 25 boats that were all fishing in the bay for Perch. I talked to a few at the launch and the Perch were biting, one guy said they had 15 jumbos in a few hours of fishing.

We finally got to our spot around 11:45, the wind prediction was supossed to be 12-20 SW, that would of been a lot better than reality, I'm not sure what the winds were at, but it felt like a hurricane moved in around 11am, probably a steady West wind at 30+ mph.

Needless to say, fishing was very poor. No Walleyes and only 1 12" Largemouth, we had to be back at Leech anglers house by 4pm, so we packed it up at 2:30 and headed back home.

Next time.....

Spinach, you have your "shorties" next weekend, or you going to go up with me for the fullmoon fish?
