I don't know about the rest of you guys but Iv'e had enough of ice fishing. Staring down a hole for hours on end, just isn't my idea of a good time.

I need some open water soon or I may just go insane or do something crazy!!  This is the slowest part of the winter for all of us up in the far north country.  It's staring to get a little warmer and the days are getting longer, but it's still a long way from spring time.

Hopefully it will be an early spring and the ice will be off the lake sometime in April, but I'm sure not going to hold my breath waiting for that to happen.

If any of you want to talk about open water fishing I am all ears.  Ask me a question about fishing in open water and I'll see what I can do to answer it.  However for your own saftey and my sanity please leave the ice fishing questions at home, I can't be responsible for my actions and I don't want to hurt anybody. :banghead:

I'm with you guys.,

The cabin fever has set in bad. My guide boat is in the garage and that's attached to the house. So, the other day I had to open the house door to throw something into the garage and there sat my Lund. She was looking awful lonesome so I blurted out to her "It won't be long now baby". Having left the house door open my wife overheard some conversation and said "what did you say?". I told her never mind I was talking to the boat.

I think I'm getting on her nerves. Next month I'm going to have a booth set up at Cabela's for the weekend. This will help somewhat as I'll be talkin fishing for two days with perspective new clients and visiting with some of my regulars that can't wait to hit the water with me.
