Me and a couple of buddies are headed up to Leech lake. I am not very familiar with the lake or the area.

If anyone could give me some pointers on where to fish, bait, depth, structure, that would be great. I am not looking for your secret hot spot, I would just like to get on some fish. You can shoot me a PM or something if you would like

Thanks!

Leech is big so you will have to pick a side to start.  South side-Shingobee bay usually will be putting out some nice panfish this time of year.  West side sand point area good for some jumbo perch towards evening.  Stop in at Reeds in Walker and talk to one of the guys in back.  They should be able to hook you up with a place to start.  Good luck.  Let us know how you did when you get back.

Caught about 140 perch from late thursday until about 2pm today. Had a good time. Thanks for the help.
