Heading out to devils lake on march 19 to do some pike fishing. Hopefuly I can get in to some monster gators.  Sounds like a mess out there with only track vechiles moving around with all the snow. But  I guess take the snowmobiles along either that or sit in one spot all weekend.Hope to have some good photos when we get back.

Red line you say?  Cant say I have heard of that befor. I know  the red trebles helped last year.

Yes that is what I say. I have heard many stories about the pike that get caught up there sometimes have that "red cajun line" in or on their mouths . Would be worth the try I would assume. I would also try thoes red rattelin' flyer spoons maybe on a jiggin pole? they eat that jig down here  ;D

 :happy1: Well boys and gals  good news after trying for 5 years I finally got one.  A 45 inch northern on devils lake, if we read the old meat scale at the bait shop right it was bout 22 lbs  personally  i'm thinking it weighed more towards 24  but could be wrong, sure will make come good pickling,lol  every time I tell some one that they look at me funny, :scratch:  I think it will fill the bare spot on the wall just fine.

Go for the muskies!  Because you figure you will catch some nice pike muskie fishing too.  I wouold say go for a 55+ musky  :happy1:
Im still working on my pike, I caught a 36" last year, hell of a fight!  I do need some fish for my wall, all I have is my deer!
