So, Is everyone getting anxious for the 2010 Fishing Challenge?

This is the time to start working on your new teams name. I've already got several names picked out, but can't share with anyone for fear of.......well, you know.

Anyone else working on improving new strategies, hot tactics or new bodies of water? Is it to early to start getting pumped for the competition? I've already started practicing for The Smackdown Thread only the wife don't appreciate me talkin smack to her all day. I guess I'll just have to hold off on the smack talk till "D Day" so watch out General and the rest of you bums because I'm coming after you. That's unless your on my team of course!

If the General winds up on my team we'll still be talkin smack to each other because that's just the kind of guys we are.  training-087

Leaving the cabin for the first time in several months I squint my eyes at the yellow globe in the sky and vaguely remember what sunlight looks and feels like. Having spent the long winter in the cabin and using only the light from a single lantern fueled by whale oil I have been making preparations for the upcoming Challenge.

With information brought into me by dogsled from the x governor of Minnesota my friend Jessie has supplied me with dossiers on all of the past fishing Challenge participants. I have a plan to reclaim the top spot and am looking forward to my new fishing partners. The new rules have been sealed in a miracle whip bottle and placed in the rushing waters of the creek outside the cabin. I expect they should find their way to the owners of MWO soon and be approved and posted. After that I expected some smack talk may start and the fishermen from the big city who have power and computers will start to boast of something that will always be just out of reach, the trophy!

I just saw him on television last night. Says he was a Navy Seal and something about 9/11 being a conspiracy. I'm sure he'll crack the case.
Did I mention he was a Navy Seal?

I love it. Seems like we just cannot avoid the old people that take advantage of giving you advice. From money, safety, marriage, fishing, hunting, you name it. How do you respectfully cut them off from rambling?

I don't need to start the smack talk yet.  I'm young and don't need to warm up.  Lee, BB, HD, and the rest of the old timers have to get all the creeks and cracks out of their old bones so they are ready to go in a few months.
