Fishing is starting to really pick up for late season ice. But it is getting more difficult to actually get on the ice. Four wheelers are the only way to go but you still need to use caution. Most roads are closed but if you can get on the ice safely it is great fishing!  From the field of Zippel Bay to Long Point it is great mid day around 28' to 30' and moving into 18' to 20' at evening. The Slick Jig and The Darter from Lindy have been the best. But nothing beats a gold jig head. I will continue to post ice updates for those concerned. I still have 3 more trips booked this winter then it is early northern fishing in Zippel Bay. The walleye fishing, along with sturgeon fishing, will be available in the Rainy River
