Refreshed all mineral stations

I took this yesterday on my way to refresh the mineral stations.  I bought the mineral buckets from Buck Island Outfitters (located in Coon Rapids).  The blocks are standard mineral blocks you can buy at any farm supply store. The guys from Buck Island Outfitters were at our MDHA banquet so I though I'd give it a try.


I took this picture yesterday.  It shows a mineral site that has been in use for the past 8 years or so.
Note to self: don't start a mineral station in the middle of a trail or where you don't want a water hole

Sounds good. I put some mineral out a few weeks ago. They haven't started to pay much attention to it yet but i'm hoping that changes soon!

i havent started the minerals just yet, i have tryed all kinds of flavors. they seem to hit the apple one really hard most years, also the acorn flavor one gets hit hard also. there buck licker i think its called, they about the same size as a chimney(sp) brick. cost like 5 bucks at gander.

It's too bad those Trophy rocks are so spendy, because they work the best.

I was never too sure if they were hitting it but last year I got pictures of them hitting just an ordinary white salt block. the best part about those is shooting them in half with the 243
