Governor's Opener... on Kab

Ill be on Kab this year as a fishing host for the Governor's opener for the fifth year. Kab is a great area to fish in our Nat. Parks with many acres of water to fish. Should be a good opener with early ice out.

Going up Thurs staying at the Pine Aire Resort. Fri will be fishing the big Crappies and hope to make a 22 mile run to the Kettle Falls Dam, then Sat hope to find some Kab Walleyes with Bob & Ginny Riege Outdoor Writers from Austin, MN.

Anyone one else heading to Kab.

Ya know, I have been invited up a few times and almost went once. Was invited to the Gov's deer opener last year as well. I guess i'm too fond of my own traditions to commit to an event like this. I've heard that it is a lot of fun though!

Willing to bet that this is going to be a great opener!! Its funny though... as it gets closer it seems the weather sure is taking a dive. Damn walleye gods are trying to stick it to us again!..
