I'm ready!! But for the first 5 days of the season I will be filming turkey hunts and doing a little hunting myself. Then I work.... through the next Sunday so really I won't be up to the lake until probably the 17th or 18th! Looking forward to getting a few slip bobbers in the water!!

Ive been able to fish ALL SEASON LONG since I live on the Mississippi  :dancinred:  But I am ready to get out on the lakes (I know how to fish them better)
I start turkey hunting on Thursday, but if I get my bird early, ill be heading up to my cabin in Pelican Rapids for opener.   :fishing2:
I could have a nice walleye for my team this weekend if I can get up there :)  Otherwise ill have to settle for the Mississippi when I get back and try for one of those nice pike!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL GOING OUT THIS WEEKEND (Especially if you are on my Fishing Team  ;) , Everyone else, you can catch eaters, but nothing big)

No opener for me.  My first shot will be memorial weekend.  I am going to have to skip a wedding that Saturday to do it.  My big show will be in the fall when everyone else  is at home reading a book and the young guys are counting their prize money before the contest is over.

I'm behind schedule this year. I took to much time relaxing during to nice weather. Now I'm getting closer to crunch time and I look at the mess in the boat and the crappy weather then I keep stalling. Lake Geneva where I guide takes a long time to warm up. It's crystal clear and 142 ft deep. She don't want to give up her bounty much until the end of May.

So far my preparation has been about like the picture below. Don't worry I'll be paying my dues soon since I'm booked heavy for end of May and all of June.

:newhere: and ready for opener!  :woot:
Heading out to Tonka. Does anyone know of any spots for Walleyes out there? I've fished for Bass and Northern out there but not Walleye and I'd like to give it a shot.

Let me know. Thanks!
