2010 Turkey poults?

Has anyone seen any of this springs Turkey poults out and about yet?

I did see a few with a couple hens this morning in a bean field on my way to Rochester...first I have seen so far this spring/summer

I haven't seen any. Is that what they are called? Poults?

Nope, haven't seen any running around. Lots of places for them to hide back home though.

May be a bit early yet to see the little guys running around out in the open.... should be really soon though... I have noticed all the turkrys Ive been seeing are all jakes... not a single hen and very few toms... hens are either on the nests or VERY busy watching the youngins...

I saw another Hen with a group of poults just south of Medford this morning and the poults were flying short distances already. Also saw a Doe with a very small, very spotted fawn standing at the edge of a bean field/woodline west of Medford.
