I just mowed several food plots that are located in dense woods.  The clover was being held in check by the deer.  Mostly just stems sticking up with a few new leaves.  The farmer that makes hay on my fields just got the hay cut last week.  Rain and wet ground really set him back.  The good news is that after cutting and bailing the hay, the big plots in the fields look great.  Lots of new growth coming up from the bottom.  Should be lots of good deer feed well into the fall.
