I got out and tried bowhunting for the first time in a very long time(years).  I waited until the wind was perfect for my favorite stand.  I watched Lucky for about 20 minutes before it was passed shooting light.  He showed up and half heartedly scent checked a doe and went back to eating acorns and clover.  He never got closer than 45 yards.  It was very exciting!!  I might be able to get back up north next week, work permitting.
Here is a recent picture of lucky.  He has been a little camera shy and seems to be avoiding them.  I might pull the cams closer to my stands.


Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

Great deer pict.  Looks like a very narrow and skinny rack for a big body.
Take a kid hunting and fishing... It'll be the best thing for generations to come.

nice deer!!! good luck with him, good to hear you seeing him during shooting light! if you makes that mistake again i hope its closer! or your holding a rifle during firearms season!
