Was heading down my driveway and saw lights flashing. Thats right, a wrecker hooking up to a smaller car. i asked, did you hit a deer and she said yes, one with a rack. so i looked down in the ditch and sure enough there was a 7 pointer down there. they took off and I headed to work. Then i thought amybe there is some good meat on there. i called the sherrif and they said take it. they gave me a tag for it and i skun it and took the back straps and tenderloins. the rest felt a little soft. i also cut off the horns. we had some tonight and it seemed ok. Does that one count for the deer contest?

I dont think that will count for the contest  :coffee:  But, hey, I am not a judge, so who knows.
Might as well not let the meat go to waste.
We hit a spike buck on our way out to our land last year, hit it in the head and snapped its neck.... so the body was still good, but we didnt take it, since we needed to get onto the stands, but on our way back, he was gone.  Somebody got some nice meat there.
Anyways, bummer to see a buck go down like that, but you got to cash in on the rack and some nice meat.   :happy1:
How was pheasant hunting for ya this weekend?  Did you get out?

dakids couldn't count the one he hit last year (and I believe he also hit one this year) so I guess you can't count this one either.

We have hit two within a mile of the shack heading up for opener two different years. Took one, couldn't find the other. Camp meat!
