Shot this 11 pt buck early opening morning from one of my newly built wooden ladder stands!

He has a kicker off the G3 on the left antler and 2 kickers off the front of base on the right antler.

Thanks guys, it's nice to have some confidence back in my shot accuracy this year. I missed 2 close shots during our spring turkey hunt this year and had a shot deflected but still hit during our deer season last year.

I spent some extra time this year pre-season to go out and take some shots and get some confidence back and it payed off with big dividends this season already. I cannot stress enough the importance of doing your due diligence before the season to increase your odds of success during the season. This includes not only your comfort level with your shotgun, rifle or bow but also in scouting your area multiple times leading up to the season and learning the habits of the deer in your area in regards to feeding, bedding and transitional areas.

This has been a great season of hunting already from top to bottom. Great friends and family to hunt with, numerous good deer have been seen by everyone in our party and we have harvested a couple of nice deer already. It doesn't get any better than this!  ;D

Thanks OJ, Hunter2 and Cody!

Yes Cody, the good ol' 870...man this has to be one of the most reliable, consistent guns I have ever owned or shot and it's a great gun for the money as well with both barrels in the 870 Express Combo package. I just wish mine had the camouflage stock and barrel  :happy1:

They sell the stock and forearm in camo for them, I saw it at a store the other day.

Yah they have them at Cabela's here in Owatonna. I just haven't set aside the $$ to get them yet...too many other toys that are higher on the list still at this point...LOL  ;D
