Last night I went to go to my stand by one of my food plots and the deer were bedded in the food plot. They scattered and 3 came back. 2 does a 1 fawn. Still no bucks. I think they must be coming out at night or the middle of the day. The food plot with the turnips is getting pounded. I don't think you could put any more tracks in there.

I think you are correct in thinking "middle of the day".  The deer seem to be very active from 10:00 to 3:00.

That is what my cameras are telling me right now as well. I went to the plot three evening and checked the cam as I nestled into my blind to find that I bumped deer off the plot.  :bonk:

have seen a big increase in the deer activity in the city of Duluth. the more snow the more tracks around everyone's shrubs and crab apple trees. maybe i will find some sheds in the front yard! haha

My wife is originally from Duluth; lived on 64th, west of I-35.  She had deer in the yard all the time ramming on the apple trees.  Wait till the snow gets deeper up there like it has been in the past few years.  (In-laws own a quilt store on Central Ave.)
Take a kid hunting and fishing... It'll be the best thing for generations to come.

So do the deer eat the turnip greens, or dig the roots up though snow and frozen ground?

They eat some of the greens earlier and now they are eating the turnips. The turnips are almost right on top of the ground. About half of the turnip or so is still in the ground. Easy for them to get them.
