Portable fish house

I'm planning on buying a one man portable fish house thought i would see what kind everyone is using and pros and cons of them? Thanks!

I'm not sure you could go wrong with any of the major brands this day in age.  I'd still personally buy a 2 man.  You can set stuff on the seat next to you, more room to set heater, bait, and stuff out in front of you and 2 holes if not 3 (one for the depth finder).  Plus if someone ever does come along you have room.  I'm not sure how easy a one man pulls, but i pull my 2 man loaded by myself.

I'm with the General on this one. I would look into a two man, you can get some pretty good deals on used ones. They aren't that much heavier and you have much more space.

 I think I vote for a two man also. It may depend on how much stuff you haul around most of the time. Everything takes up space, like auger, sonar, camera, how many pails. Also if you do alot of walking out before you can drive a wheeler or truck on the ice. On a long walk, it is nice not to have to carry anything and pull the sled.

Ive fished out of 1-man fish traps since they first came out.  First one was the wood and white canvas one Dave genz came up with.... they're nice and compact, but my next one will be a two-man with a door on the front... they're not much larger than a 1-man and would be well worth the little more they cost.  Gen... the 2-man pulls harder only at the end of the day.   Ive been kind of partial to the Clam/Fishtrap... they invented the "pull over" type portable, but General's right.... there's alot of Trap type portables out there now that are pretty nice, BUT, there are some "not so nice" ones out there.... you definatly get what you pay for with portable houses.... used is a good route if you can find one thats not mouse eaten and beat to hell... My current trap was a floor model I bought at the Ice fishing show a few years back...it was like half price!   Just an Idea... me and my buddies built our first portables....cheap, used mine for years...BUT, it sure didnt pull as easy as the sled/tubs on the trap type portables do.... trap type houses are the best route if you will be pulling out your stuff on foot/atv/snowmobile.... other types dont hold gear and pull as well.....
