 :censored:

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Police are searching for suspects in last weekend's burglary of 19 animal mounts stolen from the DNR's poacher's "Wall of Shame" in St. Paul.

Also, thousands of dollars worth of power tools and snowmobile ramps are missing from a storage area of the DNR's Central Regional offices on Warner Road.

Vandals smashed several vehicle windows and cut padlocks on trailers and garage doors at the offices.

The stolen mounts are actual animals recovered from poachers.
Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.

The DNR should get some pictures circulating of these mounts ASAP. From my recollection a lot of them are very distinctive racks and if anyone is dumb enough to try and peddle them through ebay, classifieds, or wherever else, it would be a good start to catching these  :moon: clowns.

I saw this wall in person one time. Pretty impressive. It had the names of the pochers on each one. I would start checking with every name on that wall first. I'm guessing someone on there got sick of there name being on there. I hope they catch the basturds that took them.

My guess these will become too hot to handle and end up being dumped some where.

Why is that wall blocking his "chop shop" auto parts collection?

i got those all "legally"...  closed the chop shop when they quit making the K car. now I use the wall to hide my meth lab.

if I did take those I'm thinking they would have a long sit in the crawl space as I randomly sold one or two.. every few years in other states.. how would they track em besides visually.. guessing they were'nt equiped with lowjack

DNR trophy mounts recovered; men arrested
Last update: January 14, 2011 - 12:13 AM

St. Paul Police on Thursday recovered some of the items stolen earlier this month from a Minnesota Department of Natural Resources facility, including trophy whitetail mounts.

Two men were arrested and booked on charges related to the incident and a third man who is believed to be involved was already in custody on unrelated charges, police said.

Thieves broke into the DNR facility on the 700 block of East Conway  between Jan. 7 and Jan. 10. Thousands of dollars worth of tools and other equipment were stolen as well as 18 trophy whitetail mounts that were on the DNR's "Wall of Shame" exhibit. The mounts had been taken by poachers and were used in a display to encourage people to play by the rules.

:happy1: :happybounce: :dancinred: Now just take them out and  :fudd: them. They are the kind of people that steal our fishing rods and augers and whatever they can get away with. Maybe it's the same people that stold my brothers four wheeler that was on a trailer a few years ago. I have no time for low lifes like these. Can you tell!

I like the idea of putting these guys on display as part of their punishment..make them stand behind the wall sticking their heads through a hole. with a sign saying "moron"...

horticulture is part of the 5 year business expantion plan..

That's some funny stuff!  I wonder if they can be charged with poaching for taking a trophy whitetail out of season! ;D

I would say felony left with the estimated value on the mounts and the tools as well.  Didn't take the cops long to catch them either. Idiots.

I heard from a reliable source that they are planning on executing the theifs and then getting shoulder mounts and actually adding them to the wall of shame along with the deer. I think this will be an attractive addition to the wall and might be a good example for others who may think about getting into a life of crime.

I would say I'd have to agree with you. Unfortunately in the real world we live in we both know that can't happen. However, I was considering a plan "B". What about if we took up a collection and have Auggie www.wallhangerstaxidermystudio.com
 make up some replicas.

I'll be glad to contribute a substantial roll of cash to start things off. He could do head mount or full body mounts. Would anyone else be willing to throw in a couple a bucks or even help Auggie with some labor. Who will be willing to step up and help?
