That seems to happen alot. I think people must figure the ice is safe where that guy parked so lets park there too.

didn't that happen at forestlake during that ice fishing contest about 10 years ago when they parked a bunch of semi's next to each other..???

never understood the parking on the ice when it's not safe to drive across but lets park 10 feet out on the lake??? never made a lick of sense

We cut a truck out of Lake Mitchell (north end of Big Lake) a few winters ago.  We were one of two towing companies there are our bill alone hit $5000.  Not sure of other towing companies bill but truck took 1.5 weeks to thaw the ice out in a 60 degree shop.

Yeah, that happens alot - I havent seen anything that bad, but I notice that the landings and shore are the worst places when the ice if weak  :banghead:
IDK - I guess they will learn not to park on the ice, why not just park on shore thats 10 feet away.....

Never understood why folks park next to each other on any ice.

But common sense will tell you not to park 5 ton vehicles close together on ice.  Look at Ice Roads Truckers and the tonnage they haul on 36"+ of ice.

I never park close to anybody and have actually still not driven out on the ice yet this year with my car. The wifes car has been out there a few times though!! :rotflmao: It's a little lighter  ;D
