Leech and Goose Island report

Fished on Leech today north of Goose Island to help a friend set up his house. He has a bad shoulder set the house up and I drilled his holes out . Fished for perch on a inside turn lots of perch and eyes and some nice norts C/R all the fish biggest perch 12" caught a dandy 20" eye and tonight he called and he released a 27.5" eye and a 24" eye and missed two more nice eyes. I think I have him on a good spot.

The lake was good today on the road and the snow has dropped alot if you watch off road travel you should be able to drive to alot of spots look for big drifts and drive with caution 24" of ice where I drilled today. Didnt bring a camera today tomorrow Ill have it lots of melting today maybe for the pout fest trucks will be able to go and Cass Cty sheriff will lift the restrictions on the news Wcco said bad ice thats not correct the ice is 24" in Walker bay or more dont know why they report that as its not true the ice is safe on leech.

   Thats good news Bob.  Thanks for sharing.   Things would be a lot easier if the restrictions were lifted.

Thanks for the report Bob.  I don't ever get time to fish Leech in the winter but spend a week there with the family in the summer.  I fished by goose island once but usually spend most of my time on the big lake.
