Nine sturgeon were registered Wednesday on Lake Winnebago, including three fish 100 pounds or larger.

The largest fish of the day was 163.5-pound, 73.6-inch F4 registered at Paynes Point Station (Neenah) by Dick Singler of Shiocton.

Wednesday's totals by harvest category:

Lake Winnebago: two juvenile females; five adult females; two males. Total for the day, nine; total for the season, 989.
Take a kid hunting and fishing... It'll be the best thing for generations to come.
