so other than I  anyone else get into spearing? kinda late tro start  seeing the season closes sunday, but we can still dream!!!!!!!

I use to, just not lately...  :scratch: The last time I did it was... 5, 6 years ago, maybe longer.

I use too put have not done that in years, I do still have my spearing thou, I quite when I stop eating pike, So if speared can not put it back in the lake, so why spear,  :whistling:

Everyone would spear or claim they are avid once they try it. The look on childrens faces once they see a northern in the big television screen through the ice is priceless. If you like to bowhunt you should definately keep up your edge during the winter by sticking fish through the winter. I am ecstatic to go spearing. It is one of the great things in life.

I did my share when I was younger.  My dad started young and is still spearing today.  I believe he has been spearing for over 80 years. 

Here is one he speared back in 72.

Last fall I bought the wood to build an angling house. Never got around to it.
Think I will build another spearing house instead this summer. Still have the spear I made and all the decoys, may as well.

In your opinion, what is the best size for a spear house? My last one was 4x8 with a 2x4 hole. 6 foot side walls because I like em tall.
You never see a FLAG BURNING at a GUN SHOW.
