Anyone know first hand how the fishing and the ice conditions have been on Mille Lacs this last weekend? Im heading up there friday the 18th. Im planning on calling some places on thursday if no one know.

The ice was great last weekend. The fishing was not so good, but this time of year things change fast. I wouldnt let my report stop you! I would love to go up next weekend if I didn't already have plans.

Came across this one from today, southeast side

Large schools of jumbos are getting easier to find with the warm up. Remeber if you're fishing shallow quiet is key. Red euro larvae are the go to bait. We are finding schools of fish in anywhere from 24 to 8 feet of water. Anglers have limits of 12 and 13 inch jumbos and they are still getting tulibee off the edges of the deep reefs. The best spring perch bite Mille Lacs has seen in a long time
