Final Prep for the spring hunt!

Working on final preperations now. It feels good to only be 2 days out untill go time! Tonight I tweaked some snow goose sound tracks in my editing program and man do they sound sweet! Loaded the tracks onto my mp3 player and onto my phone's SD card as a back up. I also cleaned my shotgun and started to get my gear together. We'll be heading out on Thursday morning. We hope to have enough daylight to find a field to set up in on Thursday for Friday morning. I know the area we will be heading to fairly well from years past and have an idea of where they should be, but we will be "power scouting" as it has been 2 years since I was hunting in SD and we will only have a few hours of daylight to find a feild and a land owner. I am all amped up. Anyone else heading out this week/weekend?

South central and south eastern SoDak has flood warnings out guy,the ground is still froze and the water has nowhere to go~

Your best shot at some birds is further south,lewis and clark res is still froze as well with maybe 250k snow sitting on the ice,these #'s change daily tho as they come and go~

THat is the area we are going. Made a hotel reservation about 30miles from there - not to far in hunting terms. We'll put on some miles and find a spot. Tomorrow is the day! I'll post up some pics when I get back. Snow- you heading out any time soon?
