This will be the end for cars on the ice in the metro for this season

    The ice will be deteriorating fast this week.  The accesses are already breaking up.  If you plan on driving out be careful.  Getting on and off will be the tricky part.  Please keep in mind the access will get worse throughout the day so be prepared for some bottoming out and rough riding.  There is still plenty of ice to fish.  Just plan on getting out on foot.  In a week or two the fish will be in shallow and easy to get to.

Also should point out that if you drive out, keep your window down and the door cracked open with your seatbelt unbuckled.

       Check this web cam out.  It shows pretty much what you will be dealing with if you are planning on driving out.  This is Medicine lake.

     Bald Eagle looks the same as the center ruts on Medicine.  Problem on Bald Eagle is there are dock pieces on each side so you have to go through the big ruts.  4x4 manditory.
