First Muslim Congressman Insists on Using Koran for Ceremonial Swearing-In


WASHINGTON — Keith Ellison, who will become the first Muslim member of Congress next month, has offended some conservatives with his plan to use a Koran during his ceremonial swearing-in. The decision by Ellison, a Democrat, to use Islam's holy book for the ceremony instead of a Bible triggered an angry column by Dennis Prager on the Web site Townhall.com this week. Prager headlined the post, "America, Not Keith Ellison, decides what book a congressman takes his oath on." He argued that using the Koran for the ceremony "undermines American civilization." "Insofar as a member of Congress taking an oath to serve America and uphold its values is concerned, America is interested in only one book, the Bible," he wrote. "If you are incapable of taking an oath on that book, don't serve in Congress."

 ??? do you think that if ellison trys to take the oth by koran, they would swear him in ? NOT, BIG TIME AND THAT WILL BE THE END OF HIS SELF SEEN FUTURE ELECTED OR IMPEACHED BEFORE HE GETS STARTED.

Time will tell. My money says he will get his way with help from ACLU and other anti American associations.

How in blazes did he ever get elected?! Boy , when the sheeple say they want change, do they get it!  I heard there was a muslim running for office but didn't think he would have a chance, so I maybe this is where the USA is headed :( A muslim here a muslim there  pretty soon we're talking real numbers. (like over 1/6th of the worlds pop., or approx. 1 billion.) Elther the election was rigged or people are plain stupid. I would have to flip a coin on that one.
