Metro Ice Fishing?????
Just wondering if someone could give me some lakes in the metro area for ice fishing this season? I just moved here from Norh Dakota and am completely lost.......on lakes. Just hoping for some lakes...

lake minnetonka and it's bays...
white bear, bald eagle, in the north... east rush big marine, forest lake...
Prior lake, spring lake, the st. criox...  check the dnr website and in their lake finder... you'll find maps, dnr fishery reports...

Where are you located? All the lakes BFG mentioned above are great lakes. I'd also add Medicine Lake and any lake in the Forest Lake area. We did well on Chisago last weekend.

Not familair with the lakes in that area. I have a friend who lives in Eagan. He is building a new house in Faribault. He has been catching walleyes at a lake called German Lake. Hope that is right.

nothing right now... I don't think there is any fishable ice in the metro... especially after this rain tonight.  I feel bad for the local bait shops... they are taking it in the shorts this year.
