How did you acquire your current bow?

Please take the poll above and if you have any helpful comments about things you would recommend to someone who is going through the process of purchasing a bow that would be helpful to them please post them also in this thread.

i bought my 2011 bowtech assassin from a shop by be called full draw archery took me a few weeks to save up the money and sold my old bow to get the new one. As for tips i would make sure to shoot as many bows as you can and find the one that feels good to you don't go out of your way to buy the fastest bow you can or the one everyone else tells you to buy you might end up getting something you don't really want so just take a little time before you buy or chances are you will be looking to buy a new one next season  :happy1:

bought mine (Buckmaster) at a local pawn shop for $100.  The next year I bought my kid one (Parker Buckshot) for $100 at the same place,  I like his better.  :banghead:

Bought it with all of the summer work money I made one summer about 10 years ago, one of my best investments to date (still works like a charm).

After 20 years of bow hunting with hand me down bows or buying cheap used bows I saved my pennies and bought a new High Country Archery bow.  This way 8 years ago and it still shoots like a dream.  Like grandpa always said buy the best tools you can afford and take care of them and they will last you a lifetime!

I got mine like Augie!  Raffle at a shed hunting club fundraiser!  Mathews Drenalin.  I like to go to an archery shop to get everything tuned in...they cost a little extra, but saves time and headaches!
