Welp, the boat is pretty much gutted...

I tore the front deck out, all of the wood, gauges, steering wheel and hatch covers.
I'm going to re-do the consoles, make the storage areas bigger and extend the back deck.
New wood, carpeting, steering wheel, live well top, fish finder, windshields, gauges, and switchs with interior lighting.
The motor has been gone through and a new bildge pump installed.

I love projects like this....  ;D

Just the typical stripped screws and bolts.
The hardest part was trying to figure out the wiring..........

Well, I got the boat cheap enough (2450.00) most of these style boats are going for 4500 to 5000 on craigs list....and they are not quite set up the way I would like. So, I figure, so far I have about 3000 invested....kind of a wash...but, I get what I want.  ;)

something nice about taking an item and customizing it to your own specific specs.

Thanks for the offer Brian!  :happy1:

I got the rod storage locker, the 2 consol panels and the cubby panel all routered, stained and first coat of polly on. What was on there was oak vernierd plywood that started to seperate, so I went with solid oak. My son helped by sanding some of the wood and taking the hardware off so I could use them as templates to make the new ones. Also pictured is the new live well hatch. It's the biggest one I could find, and still does not cover the whole well. I'll be putting a sub-plate under it, so, it will work out fine.

Nice job HD,

Now With the last 15 year the rod locker was made out of MD plywood ( Medium density) and the console panels was made out of HD plywood ( high density) and the floor was 7 ply ply wood all 5/8 but the gas tank cover was out of 3/4 Thick, Now HD has a yellow verniers and MD had brown verniers. as oak was not use when it was first made, So if you are use oak wood it will be better then new  :happy1: Some of the door on the floor was all so made out of MD not all some was made out of plywood,

                                                 Again Nice job HD  :happy1:

The new rear deck is installed, and the consols put back together. Rod locker door and cubby wood back in. Got some wiring, the front deck and the storage boxes left.

Getting close...the first pike should be able to hit the floor on opener week!

I got all the wiring complete, the front storage boxes done and the winshields installed.

Still have the front pedistal deck, the hydro foil and touch up the paint on the trailer to do............

Very nice job!  :happy1:  How many illegal aliens do you figure you can fit in there if you fill all the seats and the compartments?

Why do some have so much talent while someone like me can only sit and wonder where to start? :bonk:

Welp, the boat is done. The only thing left is to paint the trailer and take er for a test run.

And, I did add one unique feature to the shifter handle!  :rotflmao:
