He is done with the Sixers and according to ESPN he may or may not want to come here.  I was excited about the ESPN story and it sucks that it may not be true, but either way I would love to get him on the Timberwolves.  With him and KG we would have a good shot at a title in the next couple of years.

You can tell how little interest there is with the Wolves right now when there have been more Wild posts so far this year.

I hate ESPN, but I can't stop watching it tonight.  They just gave 3 teams that AI could go to and the Wolves were one of them.  I watch all of the Wolves games no matter what happens, but I was not excited about the team at all until tonight.  If they could get this done it would be the best thing that has ever happened to the Wolves outside of drafting KG.  I have a good feeling right now that this might actually happen.

That would be the best move that the team could possibly make. I think they will and should pull any strings to get it done. heck I would even check out a few games and I am not a Basketball fan.

Well if it gets a hockey fan excited it must be a good idea.

The wolves need AI.  If they don't get a player like him soon, we might having they same type of talk about KG.  Garnett says he doesn't want to leave MN, but the losing is getting to him.  Bring in Iverson, and we will have one exciting team!

Heck, we brought in Sprewell and all of his baggage a couple years.  Why not talk the chance on Iverson?

AI just has a bad reputation from his past.  I don't think he has any problems like that anymore.

You are not going to find a more competitive player than him either.  He would be a perfect fit with KG and would take over a lot of the scoring load.  Remember he took the Sixers to the finals a few years ago and I can't even think of another player on that team.

Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers appear headed toward a bitter parting.

But Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor said he won't end up in Minnesota, despite a flood of rumors Friday night that said otherwise.

"No trade," Taylor said during the Wolves' 110-103 victory over Utah on Friday night at Target Center. "It isn't that I don't like him. Just money-wise, it wouldn't work out."

Speculation heated up the past couple of days about where Iverson could end up. The Wolves were at the top of the list of possible destinations.

ESPN reporter Jim Gray announced on the air that Iverson told him in a telephone interview Friday that he was heading to Minnesota. He came back on the air soon after to say that he had been "duped," admitting, "I was talking to an imposter."

Iverson's 11-year career in Philadelphia took another tumultuous turn Friday when the former NBA most valuable player hinted that a trade might be best after the Sixers sent him home and ruled him out of their next two games.

"As hard as it is to admit, a change may be the best thing for everyone," Iverson said. "I hate admitting that because I love the guys on the team and the city of Philadelphia. I truly wanted to retire a 76er."

If we can't get Iverson, maybe the T-wolves can be part of a 3-team trade that helps to move AI and get somebody to MN.

I really hate hearing those comments.  I was really excited thinking about this and now I lost all that hope.  I understand it would be difficult with AI and KG taking up most of the salary cap room, but in the NBA when you make a trade the salaries have to match up.  We would be getting rid of as much salary as we would be taking on so I guess I don't really understand why this wouldn't work.  They really need to find a way to make this happen for KG.  I am affraid he is going to ask for a trade if we don't get him some real help.

I was excited when ESPN reported MN as one of the front runners for AI.  Then you here Taylors comments and it takes the wind out of you.

Open up the wallet Glen, and get KG some real help!

Well it looks like we are not out of the running to get him yet.  There are so many different rumors about this it is hard to know what to believe.  I guess we will find out pretty soon though.

Looks like we are going to have to wait until Friday to find out what is going to happen.  I think that is good news for us since we have to wait until then to trade Mike James.  He wants to play with KG and I think we are trying really hard to get him here.

Now from all of this trade talk I have learned that anyone could be a writer for ESPN or any other sports site.  They are all just guessing as to what is going to happen.  The next post could be that they are trading him to Iraq for oil and I would believe that as much as any writer could tell me right now.

They could realy use a charismatic leader like AI in Iraq.  President AI.. I like the sound of that.
