wow what a day nothing but rain, that makes for a fun day on the water. we were on bowstring today and the fishing was only ok. most of our fish came out of 6-8 ft of water with a jig and minnow. We tried a lot of different humps and bars out in the deeper water but we never marked a lot of fish nor did we catch many out deep. so we moved back shallow and slowly plucked away on the walleye’s.  Along with the walleye's we caught a lot of nice perch and lots of those little Northerns that Bowstring is famous for.

Winnie was about the same today. All the guides had to work for every fish they got there too. some were shallow some were deep they all did the same getting a fish here and there.  some of the more popular places like Muskie bay and the three sisters weren't producing much at all so they went to the fence and to Ravens and found some fish on the rocks in shallow. the deep ite have been alright but they had a hard time fishing them because of the wind.
Most all the fish were caught with a northland jig and a shiner but we are running out of shiner fast around here and they will be short lived so its getting time to crank up the lindy rigs and stat looking deep.

good luck fishing
