You would of thought there was a tourney out there this past weekend. So many people!!

Anyone been out there this year? I drive by it everyday on the way to work and everyday there are people out there ice or no ice.

Across the road on Centerville I see a few fisherman as well. I was looking out there and I am guessing that they are Northern fisherman?? It look like tip-ups for most anglers through the binoculars.

I haven't been there yet, but I'm hearing reports of a lot of fishermen on the ice. Those tip ups might be for walleyes.
I'm hoping to hit a few lakes closer to home. I might have to stop by and see what all the fuss is about.

Here's to a long life and a merry one.
A quick death and an easy one.
A pretty girl and an honest one.
A cold pint-- and another one!

I was going to try Peltier last weekend, my dad drove out there and the lake is half open, there were a few guys fishing between the point and the pier though.

I'm gonna wait another week or 2, before I think about metro ice.

If you do go, let me know what the current conditions are like.

Mayfly and I had a killer day on Centerville and Peltier a couple of years ago.  We caught all 14 walleye in the lake.

I was out on Peltier about a week ago and we caught about 7  northerns in a half hour on tipups, we were out past the point on the other side of where the ice ridge used to be.

deerslayer4,
sounds like they were really cruising.
makes me wonder why some days they are hot and some days they are nowhere to be found.
I have seen that many times in the spear house and often when tip-uping too.

nothing funner than when the tip-up flags are going constantly. I really like it when two go off at once
