I don't know about you but this season has been a bust.  Too warm/nice weather and low numbers again.  Mississippi Flyway might as well be the Dakota Flyway cuz the birds keep moving west.
Take a kid hunting and fishing... It'll be the best thing for generations to come.

I've only made it out a few times and only one duck so far.  Hoping to get out a few nights this week.

I was up in Orr Minnesota on Pelican Lake this last weekend.  I had hoped it would have been colder by this time.  We did ok on Sat.  Didn't take a shot on Sunday.  The guys hunting the South west part  of the lake had a huge afternoon on Sat.  We were fishing and listened to a constant boom boom from 3 in the afternoon right up until Sunset.   Over all I would give the season + just because we had a really good second weekend up in Remer.

I hunted last weekend north of mille lacs. Fri night / sat morn there were many flocks of 10-25 mallards working the area and then saw almost nothing the rest of the weekend. There was 1/4 inch of ice on part of the pond I was hunting sat morning so hopefully the birds get pushed down soon with the colder weather. Not sure if theyll make a pit stop or fly right over us
