As we are all getting excited for the opening of gun season, some of us have been out with the bow quite a few times, some people might be holding out for the smoke pole season.  But we all have a goal for the season, what would you like to get accomplished, what are you looking to harvest?!
Of if you dont have a specific goal in mind, what are you looking forward to.
Some hunt for a trophy buck, some are hunting to get their little ones their first deer, others for the meat, and others just to get out and enjoy wildlife in its finest.

As for me, my goal as always is to harvest a deer (of any kind), but I have my eyes on a 10 pointer I saw out there last time on my way out to the stand.  I have my camera out, but didnt get a chance to get up there before the season to check it, so Ill be checking it when I get off the stand in the morning!  Otherwise, there is a doe that I saw last year who had twins, and this year I believe she has triplets.  She is a SMART deer, and I would like to harvest her!

My goal for this year is to harvest a nice size deer --doe or buck-- for meat.
If it is a respectable buck so much the better.
Also it is time to welcome back those members of our hunting camp who did not make it last year because of the passing of the of Bear --the president of the camp.
While the time in camp may be shorter than many would like I hope that all can enjoy whatever time we have to the fullest.
As Bear would have said, "Have yourself a fine country day."

this year my goal is to get my sister her first deer. she is 26 this will be her first year even being in a deer stand or hunting for anything. i think im more excited to show her the ropes than she is. shouldnt be a problem seeing deer as long as she puts in the time. also i am after a nice buck, there are several in the area and i usually hold out until a big one comes by (longer hunting season that way) but this is also the reason i havent shot a deer in 4 years... time to lower my standards i guess
my wife said it.... im OFFICIALLY ADDICTED to MNO!!

My goal for this year (and the past few) has been to help a new young hunter have a great first hunting experience and also have a great shot at getting his or her first deer.
***I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.***

deadeye, there is not a better rush than being with a young hunter when they see ,get a chance to shoot and get a deer. I have three that I went throug that with. It is so rewarding. I have ent did it for a few years. Now I have a 4 year old Grandson and cant wate to get hem in to the stand. O and I got lucky yesterday and shot a nice 10 point ant 800 am. he still hav frost on his antlers. Good Luck.
