I was just wondering when most of you start? Will it be defferent this year due to the mild weatherand lack of snow, witch has made it easier to find food.
Do you watch trail cams to see when they are starting to drop? Also where have you had the best luck finding them I have never found many and they never seem to have any rime or reason to where they are.

Oh man why you gotta be like that? I just got over what am I going to now that Bow hunting is over and then you gotta go and bring up shed hunting some people I tell ya

Well if it was a typical winter I would look between bedding and feeding areas since they only move when they need too. But this year is going to be totally different I will be checking out more grass lands south faceing hills {south facing hills are always good} The most important thing is though is to learn to look for just the tines instead of lookng for the whole antler In all honesty it took me a good 5+ years to finally have a good year of shed hunting and almost 10 years to find my first match dont forget your binos either
Thats about all I am going to say for now but if you got other questions ask I will try to help and I am sure others will too
Here is a few pics of the last couple years of some of the sheds I have found

Main reason I brought it up is because I have heard of a few ppl finding them already and I thought it was odd given the mild weather and lack of snow!
and the other reason is I have a hard time staying out of the woods now that the seasons have ended.

I will start in 3 weeks I was figureing I found my first one on the 24th of Jan last year and the 25th I found 4 more I would say the longer you can make yourself wait the better I know there are some dropping but I would guess there aint tomay on the ground yet plus there is no  consistant pattern to what the deer are doing

Kind of getting the itch myself to go out and look. Anyone in the east-central part of the state hit me up and we can go for a hike looking.

I think some hold on to their antlers way into February.

I have seen them in late March still with both sides

I checked the cams the other day and they are all still carrying. It might be awile with the lack of snow and mild temps not much stress on them.

all the pictures i have of bucks still have there head gear. i think the warm weather and lack of snow is really helping with the stress level this year so they may not fall until late this year
