I went today for a hike on my property.  I couldn't believe the number of tracks made in one day.  I took these pictures shortly after noon today.  It snowed yesterday morning so all tracks were at most a day old.  I saw 12 deer and fresh sign (beds that indicated a deer just blasted out of it) everywhere.

Nice.  Is that the same trail that we took pics of Kid#1s first buck?

dakids, yes it is.  It's on the east end just before it goes on the the big field.  Although some deer did go in the field, the vast majority of activity was in the brush covered woods.  The deer are browsing big time.  It would have been a good year to have a food plot that lasted into winter.  The hay cutting timing was bad this year.  For one reason or another, it didn't get cut until mid to late September.  As a result, there was little new growth in the fall.  I like to see it cut in early august and then get some rain to spur new growth.
