I just realized the contest came to a close at the end of January and we didn't make a big hoopla about it.  Here are the top three teams.  Actually four teams because there was a tie for third place.  More good news.. We decided to double the prizes given out last year!

In all 40 deer were registered.

Congratulations to all who entered a deer this year.

if i could of just had one more buck tag with my bow because i had 2 other shooter bucks in range one was a 10 and one was a nice eight little bit narrower then mine but still past the ears and he was a few inches taller than mine

i wish we could chose between 1 buck tag for bow and rifle or 2 buck tags for bow or 2 buck tags for rifle

would deffently chose 2 tags with bow

Lentz, I don't think too many hunters would hope to get a bigger one and pass up the buck you shot with your bow.  I would like to encourage all for next years contestants to try and take photos of yourself and the deer while in the field.  I realize it's not always possible however, it makes nice viewing for all of us plus capturing the expierience for future viewing.  Of course, when there are photos around, it's harder to "grow" that buck.  :rotflmao:
Bring a camera with you in the stand and you would be surprized at all the things you could photograph.

ya one day this winter im gonna have to mount it because it was my first buck with a bow

iv only shot one other buck it was last year my buddy was hunting the field stand and a buck was running across the field and i hear him shoot about 15 min later i see a buck walking on the other side of the swamp/marsh looked at him threw the scope and noticed that it was bleeding/guts hanging out so i cocked the hammer back on the 30/30 and waited tell he got to a thinner part of the thicket and took a shot. it went like 30 yards and tiped.

i got out of my stand and walked to my buddy and said you hit the one you shot at. he said ya when i shot i could see the guts right after. so i said i just finished him off for you. we walk to my stand and he says i see where i hit it wheres yours. i said i know i hit him but we looked for a bullet for 5 min couldent find mine so he gets gutting. he pulled out the heart and lungs and we looked and no bullet hole in them. he was almost done when i noticed where i hit it and said whats that . he said where right behind the shoulder. i put my finger in the hole and said i told you i hit him. was a small six but was my first buck and his to wouldent of taken the shot having the same shot at a nice eight that morning on the same trail.

btw my buck i shot took the same trail after i shot him so im pretty sure thats the trail they go on wounded
