   News Flash:  Waters are starting to recede in Ely.  Several  boats and medium size pike were left beached on Greatoudoors lawn.  We know he couldn't catch one the right way.

The pike is only a small step, which will eventually lead to your plunge into 2nd or 3rd place within a short period of time.
Better start chewing some gum, Dental Flossie, so your eardrums don't burst in the rapid descent you're about to take!!

   It's on there.  The purple ink got washed out on the flash but you can see it when you zoom in.  This thing ruined my night bite.  He got my jig twisted up in the net so bad I had to cut the hook twice to get it out.  The high water is very dirty and other than a bunch of small pike the fishing has been tough.  I will say the Borgersens will be having a field day with the bugs.  They are relentless even trolling in open water.      Bad news for the other teams the stealth runs like brand new and the x-85 I purchases on ebay actually works.  The Avengers are back on the road to 90".

It's gonna be a great fishing trip for Lee and the Borgster.
They'll have more pounds of ankle biter flies dead in the bottom of their boat, than pounds of fish on their stringer!
One Ely couple went on a three day camping trip to Basswood last weekend, and the fishing was so rotten they never had a fish fry while there, for the first time in their lives!!
Lee and Borgie may regret not entering the Rock Bass Challenge!
I really hope you two knock them dead!

   Both Lee and Borgie did enter the rock bass challenge.   I will agree with you about the flies and awful  fishing.  Our lake is pretty clear.  Not this year.  The heavy rains have really stirred things up.  You may be safe from the Borgie Beatdown this year but you will not catch the Avengers.  In a couple of weeks Wildlife and myself will spend a couple days on the water to get that last few inches we need to break 90".   Instead of a girl with a Louisville Slugger you will be getting run over by a train.
