Well that that!!! The only side bet I was going to make was with The General As it is one year form the last time I wanted to make a bet with The General and he turn me down. I will give you this you do know when your out skill in getting trophy fish!!!

ROCK BASS are REAL FISH   Now if you were as old as I am you would have Coveted a Field and Stream Fishing Honor Badge!  You had to catch a whopper to get one, and only certain GAMEFISH were eligible.  Here is a picture of the ROCK BASS badge...BTW they were GOLD plated!

   I had the first night of golf league last night.  I see the same thing there as I do here.  The young guys just don't like getting their   kicked by old guys.  As returning champs on the golf league  I was sorry to see we lost 4 teams.  The kids just don't like getting schooled by experience.  I hope we can get a few more challengers for 2012 here.  At least in this challenge I'm still a kid.

That photo was a largemouth bass not a rock bass. Don't worry about it Willy. You've just started going through the ageing process along with many of us other old timers.    Fortunately for me I'm still able to distinguish a rock bass from a largemouth bass.   Seems as if your ageing process has exceled as of late.

 If you would like me to  proof read your smack down posts prior to your posting them I'm here for you. Just think about it for a while and let me know if I can help you out. Remember my friend that ageing moves faster on some people than others.

   It looks like I may have a chance to break the surface tension of the Lake of No Fish this coming weekend.  For some of you mentally( ) boys I do on occasion hook into a rock bass or two while crappie fishing.  I will be sure to take a picture of them so you print them off and sleep with them under your pillow.

 SOME FREE ROCK BASS TIPS FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE

Rock bass are found in many locales including rivers, lakes and marsh watersheds. However, they prefer small streams with submerged structures and rocks or gravel bars that have light vegetation. During the winter, rock bass remain in deeper water.
 
Rock bass are easy to catch with simple bait such as worms, leeches, maggots other soft grubs and the every present worms. While lures and jigs can be used, they are not required for Rock Bass. Use of light bobbers are also recommended.
 
In spring, rock bass bite on a wide variety of baits with worms, minnows and a variety of insects attracting the bass. They can be found in small rivers and in creeks where deep pools form and under obstructions like docks and underwater debris.
 
Rock bass are members of the sunfish family and spawn in shallow water when the water temperature reaches between 60- to 70 degrees. Adult rock bass never reach more than 12 inches in length with the largest weighing as much as three pounds.

Wild u got the T-shirt RIGHT!   Us ROCKBASS fisherman are 2x4"s.  Unfortunately Lee had it right, I have to wear his Rockbass tee shirt ...... Went to Leech this weekend to get it open and ready for Opener.  Yesterday afternoon I spent some serious time trying for a trophy ROCKBASS all I caught were these things..threw a bunch back and kept these to eat??? Are they as good as ROCKBASS??? Will see tommorrow night.
