Welcome hard617!

You'll enjoy the site! What part of the UP are you from? I've been up through Escanaba, Brimley, St. Marie a few times and loved the drive! Beautiful area in MI!

Bessemer. My parents still live there and try to visit when I can. I love it up there, but there really is nothing for work.

My ex's family was from up there and they all either worked for the county, the casino, or drove to Detriot to work on the river running Barge's.

Hope you find it better here in MN, and on MNO!

Well I am Casey Brown I am in the USMC but I retire in 14 Months and then I will be moving back to North Dakota Lisbon to be exact. I love that part of the world. The folks are so genuine and you would be hard pressed to find any better in the world. I like this site and plan on visiting it much more often.
Thanks

Found the site accidently and registered.  I'm 45 years old, married with 3 kids.  I've become a more serious fisherman as I've aged.  (Probably has something to do with my golf swing.)  Prefer to fish for walleye, but also like to catch fish, so I'm not fussy.  I hope I can pick up some fishing knowledge  on the site.

I agree!  Make sure they're chest waders!!  In all honesty, you'll gain a lot of knowledge in hunting, fishing, trapping, and most importantly,  :bs:

Enjoy the site!

Might have to change my name to perchman.  I can catch them any and everywhere.  Give me a depth and a lake and I'll catch 4 inch perch.  Just seems to be how my winter fishing is going this year.

::welcome::  At least you're getting out and catching something!  If you want a chance at some decent crappies, send me a PM sometime.

BigFish,
::welcome::    to the site.  I'm sure you'll learn a lot and hopefully meet a few new fishing/hunting buddies.  Hope your son is #1 fishing/hunting companion!  I know mine will be once he gets old enough!    :woot:

Boomer-
Don't be afraid to ask questions on the site.  We won't give you GPS coordinates, but we'll do our best to get you and your boys on fish!  Post any questions you have in the area forum that you live in as well as the ice fishing/ open water forums.  Oh yeah,  ::welcome::

New to the site here and just trying to find my way around... My name is Matt, Im 22 from Maplewood, Mn. Cant believe it took me this long to find a site like this. I Like to get out and fish whenever I can. Just getting back into deer hunting and enjoy that as well.. Do a lot of my fishing in the metro area. Got a permanent i've been putting out on White Bear Lake 2 years now and dont have anything to brag about, but i just enjoy getting out. Plan on going to Bald Eagle next year and see if my luck changes. By the way im no "pro muskie angler" just been using the name since i was young.

If you do decide to put your perm out on Bald Eagle, let me know.  I fish the lake a lot during the summer and a little during the winter.  Plus, my in'laws live on the lake, so I know a few spots.........

Hello All, I am an avid 58 year old ice fisherman from Hastings, Mn. I am happily [most of the time]married with a wonderful daughter and 2 beautiful granddaughters with a third on the way. I have worked at Lock & dam #2 in Hastings for the past 31 years, yes I am an old river rat. Most of  the ice fishing  I've done has been chasing perch and "eyes" on the big lakes in the state and the past 3 years on lake pepin in pool #4 on the Mississippi. I have often browsed the fishing reports on this site and always found useful info on many lakes. Thought it was time to join in and maybe offer some occasional info and friendly conversation. Thanks to all!!!   koke1  By the way koke1 is short for my last name which is Kochendorfer, Lee :newhere:
