Thanks I browsed around a bit looks like a great site.
The wife will probably sign up....especially since there is a section for outdoorswomen...that is really cool...haven't seen that on other sites.

Well, I guess I'm Mrs. Buckshot, or Walleye Brat, either one will do, and for those of you who like to shorten the nicks (JackpineRob), most people just call me Brat.

Anyway, as I said on the Outdoor Women's forum, I am 35 and I just married my favorite fishing and hunting partner this past February.  I have always loved to fish, and grew up doing it as much as humanly possible, so when I met my now husband three years ago, who also loves to fish (and hunt to boot), I knew I had found the one for me.  He first converted me from panfish and occassionally bass to Walleye.  It didn't take much - one or two on the end of a lindy rig, and I was signed up for life.  Then two years ago he bought me a shotgun, and very patiently taught me how to hunt duck and geese both over water and in the field.  I shoot a Beretta AL390 20 Gauge, so geese aren't as easy to bring down on my own, but this year I shot my first solo goose field hunting.  It was just shy of 14 pounds, and it was so incredibly cool!!  I'm completely hooked.  My only complaint is that there aren't enough weekends in the fall for duck, geese and jiggin' for Walleye!! 

Anyway - I'm excited to see a site like this (especially with the Women's forum).  I hope to learn a lot, hear and share stories, and meet some new friends!!

What's up guys? I just signed up 5 minutes ago. My name is Pete (if you couldn't decipher that message already). I am currently 21 years of age. I'm in school right now, going to be transferring in the fall. I am an accounting major.  :rock:

 I don't do much hunting, but I try to fish quite a bit. Unfortunately I didn't have much luck on the opener.
