Jeff Carpenter of Forest Lake is pictured with two deer he took in as fawns and named "Pinkie" and "Abbie." It is the home owners that are responsibel for the death of these 2 fawns. Once they put the "collars" on them they signed their death warrant.
Bambi looks cute and cuddly when a baby but will become a curse later as he eats your favorite shrubs and flowers. Then they call the DNR and want them relocated or something because of the dammage they are doing.
The police officer was following a legal order and was rightly cleared of any wrong doing. If only the home owners could be charged for their recklessness!

both parties are at fault here. the home owner should admit that he caused this situation by playing grizzly adams. but the cop should have used his little brain to realize shooting 2 fawns before dawn next to a guys house is a bad idea in any neighborhood. just because your wearing a badge doesn't mean you get to wander onto private property whenever you want. BS on that.

If you are fast enough to place a necklace on a deer I say more power to ya! Govt. has no business to interfere with with a matter like this. Granted a wild animal can suddenly do wild things but let the people learn for themselves.
