I'm looking to upgrade my compound bow from a 3 pin to a 5 pin sight and was wondering what others are shooting for a 5 pin sight and why you chose that one over others. I know alot of it is just down to personal preferences or taste, but I would appreciate some feedback on what drove you to purchase the sight you did.

In looking around so far, the very top of my consideration list is an Axcel Vision but i'm not sure I want to spend that much...but I'm still weighing options. Next would probably be a close race between a Spot Hogg and a Tru Glo but I do have a small concern over the adjustment process with the Spot Hogg with moving the dual set screws on the micro adjust.

Any help or personal opinion you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

Try looking at AXT sights as well. They have a range of 5 pin sights that have been awesome! they have a very good micro adjust for your gang adjustments and some models have a micro adjust for each pin as well... They start around 149.99 and go up to 299.99 depending on what you want.

I ended up buying a Tru Glo site that I really liked (Cant remember the model). The only problem with the model I got was that it only had 3 pins. I ended up ordering 4 more from my local archery store and he installed them for free. I think the extra pins were like $5 a piece. Pretty cheap solution, might even be able to order extra pins for the site you already have if you like it. It took a little while to get everything sighted in but now works great.

What do you currently have?  I wound up putting a fourth pin into my Tru-Glo, only cost a couple of dollars compared to a whole new sight.  If you have that option, might be worth considering.

has anyone seen any sights that the fiber optic isnt covered by metal? my dad has one that came with his fred bear bow about 8 years ago and i absolutly love it. the metal not only seems to dull the brightness but blocks so much of the target. his has no markings on it from what i remember but the pins are tiny and bright. i can shoot better groups with his bow than with my new one because of the sight. but havent ever seen another one like it.
my wife said it.... im OFFICIALLY ADDICTED to MNO!!
